Background
The electronics manufacturing industry is facing accelerated growth, driven by demand for diverse applications requiring high-speed communications and high performance. Complex integrated electronics combine different types of functions in a single system to ensure the best solution for the product and its end market.
However, delivering compact integrated functionality is only part of the challenge. Other dimensions include introducing more automation and intelligence in manufacturing, adopting best practices for sustainability, and ensuring a skilled workforce. A more holistic, integrated approach is needed, from development to design and test, to complete product lifecycle. Cross-industry collaboration is extremely important to close the knowledge gaps, mitigate risks in new technology development and adoption, and to solve infrastructure issues in a precompetitive space. This forum will:
- Focus on package, board assembly and smart manufacturing technologies
- Review technology roadmaps, compare with industry needs and identify gaps
- Brainstorm options and priorities, using a cross-discipline approach
Forum Objectives
- Bring together researchers, developers and experts in complex integrated electronics for knowledge sharing
- Identify challenges, issues and needs best solved by consortial activities
- Form action groups to execute the required industrial collaborative programs
Benefits of Participation
- The intent of this forum is to identify gaps and set priorities and direction for future collaborative efforts. Your participation will allow you to help set this agenda for the electronics industry.
- Meet and network with technical leaders and experts, engineers and researchers.
- Catch up with industry trends and expand knowledge in complex integrated electronics.
