Masahiro Tsuriya began working with INEMI in 2010 as a consultant, representing the consortium in Japan and other parts of Asia. From his base in Tokyo, he interacts with INEMI member companies as well as prospective members.
Tsuriya-san has more than 20 years of experience in semiconductor packaging technology. He joined Motorola Japan in 1988 and continued with Freescale Semiconductor Japan when it spun off from Motorola in 2004. Over the course of his career with Motorola/Freescale, his responsibilities included supplier quality certification, material technology evaluation, new package certification and transition to Pb-free and halogen-free solutions.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (National University) and is a member of JIEP (Japan Institute of Electronics Packaging), IMAPS, SEMI and IEEE.
