Industry Survey Helps INEMI Identify Collaborations for Smart Manufacturing

INEMI needs your input on smart manufacturing maturity in your organization. We are surveying the electronics industry to identify common areas where industry can work together to enable deployment of smart manufacturing.

The Importance of Smart Manufacturing Solutions

Marco Van Oosterhout, Product Marketing Director for Kulicke & Soffa, recently talked with INEMI about the importance of smart manufacturing solutions. He says that in the fully automated solution of a smart factory, improvements are measurable, controllable and visible, and every part should be traceable. He encourages electronics manufacturing companies to participate in the INEMI smart manufacturing survey to help us get the best information out of the market, the customers and the manufacturers to combine into the best roadmap we can make.

INEMI Smart Manufacturing Survey

We'd like to know about smart manufacturing maturity in your organization. Our Smart Manufacturing Technology Integration Group (TIG) is surveying members and the electronics industry at large to help define and develop future INEMI collaborations in smart manufacturing.

The survey asks about stages of implementation for smart manufacturing within your organization, use of artificial intelligence/machine learning (AI/ML) for PCBA/SMT processes, use of digital twins for PCBA/SMT processes and use of digital twins for the electronics manufacturing industry.

Input from this survey will help us identify common areas of need where it would benefit the industry to work together to enable the faster and more effective deployment of smart manufacturing in the electronic manufacturing supply chain. Please take a few minutes to give us your input — the survey will be open through May 4. For additional information, contact Mark Schaffer ([email protected]).

Take the survey now.
